CONTAGIOUS

contagiousif-1

The word for this week’s Illustration Friday is “Contagious.” We are in the new “Swine” flu frenzy so I sketched someone who is sneezing like there’s no tomorrow. That means he is not covering his mouth or even try to conceal his germs. Too many people are doing the same thing.

Barara Streisand

The word for this week’s Illustration Friday is “Legendary.”

I think we can all agree that Barbara Streisand is, if nothing else, “legendary.”

Eh wot old chap?  Here is a sketch I did of her recently.  To be more precise a caricature.

Her nose of course is also legendary.

“A Frog he would a wooing go, un huh, un huh.” From the song of the Thirties.

For the 2000’s version: “A Frog he would a climbing go, un huh,un huh.”

Two Agents Chatting

December 31, 2008

The word for this week’s Illustration Friday is Clandestine.

So these two agents were chatting. And one agent said to the other agent, “What is our next assignment?”

The other agent said,”I think we are supposed to be checking up on the Governor of Illinois. What’s his name? Bla something?”agents-for-if

The word for this week’s Illustration Friday is “Opinion.”

“THE ONLY THING WE HAVE TO FEAR IS FEAR ITSELF.”

I did this graphite “Photo Realistic” drawing a few years ago of President Roosevelt. A great man and President. I haven’t heard his name mentioned so much as during this latest financial crisis.

This is a quote by Roosevelt during one of the most trying times in American history. The Great Depression. I submit it now to give us all something to think about and hopefully take heart. Seems like we will need to remember these words for quite awhile and hope our politicians will get up on their hind legs and do the right thing for the American people.

This is a sketch I did for homework for a Head Drawing class I had. I noticed the vacant stare that “David” has and decided it would be good for the word “vacant” for this week’s word for Illustration Friday.

WOULD YOU BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS MAN?

WOULD YOU BUY A USED CAR FROM THIS MAN?

Notice the strong resemblance to “Frankenstein.” It is uncanny. Does it speak to you in any way? Is this a character made up by a “mad” doctor? Or president if you will? Whatever!
The question is can we trust him when he tells us we need to bail out Wall Street? Especially since he was a CEO in one of the big Wall St. companies and made a fortune there. I guess it depends on whether you trust George Bush or not.
Anyway, good luck to us all. With people like this running our financial system we have to pull out of this “financial meltdown” sooner or later. Hopefully.
